Dalawella Surf Location is another break south of party hub Unawatuna. It’s 5m by tuk, 15m by walk, or 10m by paddling bike from Unawatuna beach. Dalawella is known as a break for experienced surfers, intermediates too can surf this on a small day. Other than surfing, you can sun bath on the wide clean beach, or check out the reef near by if you’re equipped with your snorkel. It’s located in front of Wijaya Beach, the famous bar in the South Sri Lanka. The access to the break is almost private, meaning you have either enter through one of the villas in the beach stretch or Wijaya Beach property. There is a small surfing community comprising mainly of the bartenders from Wijaya beach who would enjoy a nice sunset or early morning surf session before their work begins. There are surf boards for rent as well, just inquire one of the local surfers.
